Activity #1: Research
Be sure to visit the Story Elements
page to become familiar with the four main story elements.

Activity #2: Sequencing
Use the class SmartBoard to complete the sequencing activity.

Activity #3: Story Elements and
Graphic Organizers
Visit Read.Write.Think. to complete the Literary
Elements Maps.*
Complete all four maps using the book Enemy Pie. You may
view the video again.
When you have completed the four maps, check the box under each
and print them all.
Turn these in for a reading grade.

Activity #4: Words
Choose one.
A. Shape
poem*- Use words based on the story Enemy Pie to create
a shape poem on the Read.
Write.Think. website. Print.
B. Wordle
- Create a Wordle using words to describe the story or a character.
Use at least
10 words in your Wordle. Ask for help before printing.

Activity #5: Project
Choose one.
A. Comic
Strip - Create a comic strip that can help others who have
enemies.
Using two or more characters to describe a clever ways others
may
become friends with their enemies. You must include at least 5
clever ways to make
an enemy a friend. Be sure to introduce the problem before providing
solutions.
Be creative! Print the final product.
B. Advertisement - Using Word, create a magazine advertisement.
Your advertisement must
relate to the book (a pie company, tree house company etc.). The
advertisement must include...
-company name
-product cost
-one or more clipart images
-a paragraph that tells about the product (including 3 details)
-Print the final ad.
